Modern Writes Song for Center Stage Sequel

Center Stage 2: Turn It Up is the hip hop sequel to the original ballet focused Center Stage (2000). Those who loved the original are fired up about this belated-but-sure-to-prove-its-cult-following sequel. One thing that made the first film so popular was its energetic soundtrack, the second time around proves no less with The Roots among others collaborating on some of the tracks.

Modern Music has also gotten involved, staff composers John Hermanson and Eric Fawcett with Casey Golden wrote “Loosen Up” for the film’s soundtrack featuring Golden and Sophia Shorai. The film debuted November 1st but will air on the Oxygen network Friday, November 14th at 7:30pm and Sunday, November 23 at 4:00pm. The DVD will be released sometime in January 2009.
