We just finished a short film for an HD contest by Canon. It’s called “Job Security”. It was done by Runner Runner and specifically written, directed and edited by Josh Thacker. I (Daron) did the music and sound efx etc.

The idea of the contest is to complete 6 chapters of an on going story, this offering would be chapter 2. We have made it to the second level of 50 and soon we’ll know if we made the top 5.

Yukon Kornelius rides again. Uniting for another winter destination show, Yukon Kornelius, a supergroup cover-band featuring Modern’s Eric Fawcett on drums, played in Vail as part of the resort’s Snow Daze celebration on December 12th. In addition to the already eclectic line-up, YK was joined this time by Dee Snider (Twisted Sister), and Warren DiMartini (Ratt).

I have a bunch of reggae 7″ records, some are released on cd’s etc, but some aren’t and the “versions”(instumental version) on the b-sides are usually only available on the record.

So I’ve decided to start posting some of them in MP3 format.

Todays offerings are not only one song and it’s version by Alborosie, but also a track by Collie Buddz that uses the Alborosie track sample.

(I used the 7″ recording of “come around” so it would have that nice vinyl sound)

So if you’re a dj or a remixer …. here you go. Start choppin’

another remix

This ones an actual mashup of Terry Lyn’s “Kingstonlogic” and Daft Punk’s “Tecnologic”. It seemed fairly obvious that “Kingstonlogic” is a Jamaican style homage to the Daft Punk track. When I say “Jamaican style” I mean, same key, almost same tempo, same idea but different. check it out.
